The Palo Alto Unified School District has continued to improve its school facilities during the past two decades with the implementation of two bond programs; the Building for Excellence Program and the Strong Schools Bond program. Both bond programs focused on modernization or replacement of classroom facilities to modern day standards with respect to infrastructure, technology and aesthetics.

Thanks to a community that views education as one of its highest priorities, the District is the beneficiary of countless volunteer hours and financial support. PAUSD is especially appreciative of the work and support from the PTA Council, PTAs at each of the schools, and the Palo Alto Partners in Education. In addition to parent groups, the District fosters cooperative relationships and continues to build strategic partnerships with business and civic organizations.
