School Site Master Plans
Each school site was engaged in meetings relevant to it’s specific site to develop conceptual plans based on district wide goals. Meetings were depending on whether the school site was involved in ongoing design, had recently completed work or the principal was involved in the district wide focus groups. Meetings totaled twenty-three at the elementary school level, ten at the middle school level and seven at the high school level. At the middle and high school level, staff leadership was engaged in the process and each school site also hosted community meetings to share district efforts as needed.
The creation of the Master Plan was an iterative process were a plan was presented and discussion was held regarding comments and input. The plan was then revised based on the comments and input and then represented with the modifications. This process continued until there was a consensus that the plan accurately reflected the discussions and vision of the stakeholders. The breakdown of projects reflects a consensus that the issues raised by the focus groups apply to the various sites as well.
The following meetings were held for each school with Site Master Plan Committees. Members of these committees were selected by the Principal, and were generally made up of school site staff, faculty and PTA members.
